Final round of CBSE’s heritage quiz today
The CBSE in association with History Channel will organise the final round of the 14th All India Heritage quiz in New Delhi on Saturday. The quiz will be telecast on History TV 18 channel at 5pm. The channel will repeat the telecast on Sunday at 3.30 pm and on Wednesday at 10am.

Panchkula government schools fail to learn from Peshawar massacre
Government schools in the district have not strengthened the security measures on campus despite the recent Peshawar massacre. The schools have not even deployed security guards at their gates. Even Government Model School, which is located next the district education office, does not have any security guards.

CBI court convicts two of throwing acid on girls
CBI, special court, Haryana, convicted two residents of Rohtak of throwing acid on three girls, all minor, in Rohtak on June 18, 2011, on Tuesday. However, a woman, who the prosecutor had alleged, was the main instigator behind the attack was acquitted. The sentencing will be done on Tuesday.

Chandigarh: List of eligible students to be out on Wednesday
All four missionary schools in the city -- Carmel Convent School, Sector 9; Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector 26; St John’s High School, Sector 26; and St Anne’s Convent School in Sector 32 -- will display the list of eligible candidates for entry-level admissions for the 2015-16 session on December 30, whereas other schools will display their lists on December 24 (Wednesday).

About 1,200 students from tricity register for CBSE’s aptitude test
Around 1,200 students of Class 10 from the tricity have registered for the fifth edition of the Student Global Aptitude Index (SGAI) test, organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). SGAI is an aptitude test to be conducted in CBSE-affiliated schools in the country — which have opted for the test — from December 8 to 20.
