Minak Bansal, Akanksna Jain, Supreet Kaur Sandhu, Radhika Dua, Amandeep Kaur, Vanshika, Bhawna Gupta, Nisha, Sukriti and Pallvi, who have selected from the region, have been provided laptops.

Under the scheme, specially recruited teachers will hold online classes for two days a week at DAV Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 15. Trial classes were held in the school over the weekend.

Rakesh Sachdeva, Chandigarh CBSE coordinator and principal of DAV Model Senior Secondary School, said, "Physics classes were held on Saturday and maths and chemistry lessons given on Sunday. In order to avoid any hindrance in the lecture due to technical glitches, we also deputed a few teachers to these classes."

"The objective of this project is to facilitate the access of female students to institutions offering higher education to help them eventually take up various leadership roles in future," said Sachdeva.

Students have been nominated on the basis of their CGPA. Fifty percent of the 1,000 seats have been reserved for SC, ST and OBC students.
