Nursery admission process for private schools starts on December 1

The process for admission to pre-nursery and nursery classes will start from December 1, with the district education officer, Chandigarh administration, finally coming out with the Common Admission Schedule for all unaided private recognised Schools on Tuesday.

The authority has directed the schools to display information relating to the admissions on the notice boards and also to upload it on the school website by November 30. “The information should include the dates of admission, total number of seats, age requirement, fees structure, admission criteria, documents required and the date of draw,” the notice adds.

The notice adds that the admission forms should be made available on the school website and also at the school, free from December 1 to 20. The schools will also receive the forms during the same time period.

“Schools will have to display the list of eligible applicants on the school notice board and on the school website by December 24.The list of selected students and the list carrying the names of the students in waiting, should be finalised between January 10 to 28. Both the lists will be displayed in the schools by January 28.”

According to the notice, schools will accept fees from February 1 to 20.

The waiting list will be displayed in the schools by February 23 and finally the children selected out of the waiting list will deposit their fees from February 23 to March 7.

The notice also adds that the schools, which have already announced their schedule, like Vivek High School, and others, will also follow the new schedule.

“Schools, who have already announced their admission schedule, will also follow the above mentioned common admission schedule. All schools will also upload the admission notice carrying the details of admission in the admission form on their school website,” said the notice.
