While minority colleges like Jai Hind, KC and Mithibai Colleges saw a dip in their cut-offs owing to surrendered quota seats, non-minority colleges like VG Vaze, Ruia and Ruparel Colleges saw a spike in cut-offs across streams.

61K FYJC seats claimed; second round on July 22

Around 1.85 lakh students had applied for admissions under the centralized admission process, of which 1.34 lakh were allotted seats. More than 48,000 students were allotted their first preference, and will have to secure admission in the same institute as per admission rules.

FYJC seats to be increased by 8%?

Officials said around 60 colleges in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) have been identified for this purpose, on the basis of their cut-offs from 2018.
