Police said Prakash’s body was retrieved from a canal on August 6, while his wife and two children were missing. Following relatives’ allegations, police had detained Salman, who worked at Pramod’s shop. He was later arrested and sent to jail.

Eight days after a man’s body was fished out of a canal, his wife’s body was also identified by the police. The couple, Ved Prakash and Vimlesh, residents of Bambwad village in Badalpur, were allegedly drugged and strangled by a ‘tantric’ and his accomplice as the former wanted to marry their minor daughter.
