UP Board Results 2019: PM, Priyanka laud successful students in rallies

Addressing a rally in Sitapur district, PM Modi offered best wishes to the successful candidates. Consoling those who “remained behind due to a gap of a few marks”, he exhorted them not to lose heart and start working hard right away.
In Barabanki district to address a rally, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, “At the onset, I want to refer to the two toppers from Barabanki who brought laurels to the district with their hard work.” She was referring to Shivam and Tanuja Vishwakarma who bagged the second and third positions in the high school examinations.
“I remember, when I appeared for board examinations, I had to study hard...had to struggle and often troubled my parents,” she said with a smile.
The Congress general secretary also congratulated the successful students on Twitter: ‘My congratulations to the students who succeeded in UP Board examinations 2019. I offer best wishes for your bright future. Keep trying. Those who try, always scale new heights,” read her tweet.
Earlier in the day, chief minister Yogi Adityanath had also sent out a series of tweets congratulating the successful students. He said that students needed to understand that this was just the first stage and they would come across many such stages in life.
The CM also congratulated the top three rank-holders of the high school examinations -- Gautam Raghuvanshi of Kanpur, and Shivam and Tanuja of Barabanki -- and offered best wishes to intermediate exams toppers -- Tanu Tomar of Baghpat, Bhagya Shree Upadhyay of Gonda and Akanksha Shukla of Prayagraj.
Gautam, student of Onkareshwar SVN Inter College, Kanpur, scored 583 out of 600 (97.17%); Shivam, student of Sr Sai Inter College, Barabanki, scored 582 out of 600 (97%); and Tanuja, student of Maharani Laxmibai Memorial Inter College, Barabanki, scored 581 out of 600 (96.83%).
Tanu, student of Shri Ram Inter College, Baghpat, scored 489 out of 500 (97.8%); Bhagya Shree, student of Pt Raja Ram Upadhyay Inter College, Gonda, scored 476 out of 500 (95.2%); and Akanksha, student of SP Inter College, Prayagraj, scored 474 out of 500 (94.8%).
