The Bihar School Examination Board commenced the Intermediate / Class 12 board exams for the three streams i.e. Arts, Science and Commerce from February 1, 2025, and the exams concluded on February 15, 2025. For Class 12 students, the Practical Examination was conducted from January 10, 2025, and concluded on January 20, 2025. For Class 10 students, the Bihar School Examination Board conducted the board examination from February 17, 2025, till February 25, 2025. For Matric final exam students, practical exams and internal assessments were conducted between January 21, 2025, and January 23, 2025.

Exam shifts details:
Bihar board Class 12 Theory papers were held in two shifts:from 9:30 a.m.to 12:45 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. The Class 10 exams were held in two shifts.
A total of 34821 students appeared for the Bihar Board Class 12 exam in the Commerce stream, of which 32999 passed. Raushani Kumari is the topper from the Commerce stream. The overall pass percentage of the Commerce stream is 94.77.

Previous year exam details:
In 2024, BSEB chairman Anand Kishore informed that the overall pass percentage for Class 12 was 87.21%. The pass percentage for the Arts stream was 86.15%, the pass percentage for the Commerce stream was 94.88%, and the pass percentage for the Science stream was 87.80%. Girls performed better than boys, with better pass percentages overall.

In 2024, a total of 1291684 students appeared for the exam. A total of 1126439 Students passed the Bihar Board Class 12 examination. The overall pass percentage is 87.21%. Priya Kumari secured 95.60% and topped the Commerce stream in the Bihar board 12th results. In the commerce stream, a total of 37629 candidates passed the exam with a pass percentage of 94.88%. A total of 12909 female candidates passed in the commerce stream out of 13320 female candidates that appeared in the exam. The female pass percentage in the commerce stream is 96.91%. A total of 24720 male candidates passed in the commerce stream out of 26338 male candidates that appeared in the exam. The male pass percentage in the commerce stream is 93.86%.
