Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board may declare the results of its high school or Class 10 and intermediate or Class 12 examinations in the first week of June, sources said on May 4 (Thursday).

They said the evaluation of around 4.6 crore answer sheets began from April 27 at 253 centres in the state and 1.37 lakh teachers have been assigned to the task.
According to the education board’s secretary Shail Yadav, the evaluation is expected to be completed by the second week of this month.
“We are trying to complete the evaluation process at the earliest for which directives have already been issued for completing the same in 15 day period. Preparation of results would commence after the completion of the evaluation process,” Yadav said.
Over 60,61,034 students registered to appear in the high school and intermediate exams - 34,04,715 in Class 10 and 26,56,319 in Class 12.
Due to strict invigilation during the exams this year, 5,94,503 students left midway and 1862 examinees were caught copying.
However, mass copying was reported in some districts due to which 69 exams of different subjects were cancelled and 91 schools were debarred from holding the board exams for the next 5 years.
