PSEB 10th Result 2019: Driver’s daughter Neha Verma is Punjab Board Class 10 topper, know her success mantra
PSEB 10th Result 2019 topper: Punjab School Education board (PSEB) declared the result for Class 10 exams on May 8, Wednesday.
Punjab School Education board (PSEB) declared the result for Class 10 examinations on Wednesday. Neha Verma from Ludhiana has topped the Punjab Class 10 board exams.

Neha Verma,16, a student of Teja Singh Sutantar Senior Secondary School, Shimlapuri, Ludhiana. She has scored 99.54% marks. Topper Neha was confident that she will be among the top rankers.
Being regular to school and staying consistent in studies was her success mantra. Neha’s father Pawan Kumar is a driver and mother Jeeya Verma is a homemaker. Neha wants to become an IAS officer.
Harleen Kaur of Robin Model Sr Sec School at Dhuri, Sangrur, Ankita Sachdeva of RS Model Sr Sec School and Anjali of BCM Sr Sec School shared the second rank with 99.23% marks. All three top positions are from Ludhiana.
In the sports category, Nandini Mahajan of Bal Vidya Mandir High School at Nangal Kotli Mandi, Ritika from BCM Sr Sec School at Ludhiana and Neeraj Yadav of Teja Singh school at Ludhiana are toppers with 100% marks. Jasleen Kaur of Govt Sr Sec School at Khamano, Fatehgarh Sahib came second with 99.38% marks. Kamalpreet Kaur from Teja Singh school at Ludhiana and Rathia, a student of Bal Vidya Mandir, Nangal Kotli Mandi shared third spot jointly by securing 99.23% marks.
In the sports category 15% grace marks is awarded to students who have played state level and 25% grace marks is awarded to those who have played at the national level. In 2019, 854 students got grace marks in sports category out of which 84 have been awarded grace marks for playing at the national level.

A total of 3.40 lakh students appeared in the Class 12 board exams this year, while 3.80 lakh students appeared in Class 10 board exams.
Following the tradition, the PSEB has first declared the merit list and then the scores will be available 24 hours after the results on the official website pseb.ac.in. Students can check their result by entering their roll number after it is downloaded.
Last year, nearly 3.7 lakh students had appeared in the Class 10 exams while over 3 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 exams. The overall pass percentage in Class 10 exams in 2018 was 59.47% while the overall pass percentage in the Class 12 exam results was 65.97%.
