JAC Class 12th arts Result 2019: The results of Intermediate or Class 12 Arts exam were declared by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Tuesday.
The results of Intermediate or Class 12 Arts exam were declared by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Tuesday. This year, 79.97% students cleared the examinations, an improvement of 7.35% over the 2018 results, JAC officials said.

Manali Gupta, student of SS Model +2 High School, Patratu, emerged state topper scoring 87.4% marks in aggregate. Out of 500, she scored 437 marks in total.
Pramila Kisku, student of Ranchi Women’s College grabbed second position in state with 84.4% marks in aggregate. Palak Agarwal of Gandhi Inter College, Latehar emerged third topper with 84% marks.

JAC chairman Arvind Prasad Singh said altogether 1,84,384 students had appeared for the examination, of which 1,47,468 students qualified for admission to higher classes.
Girls have once again outperformed the boys in the examination. The pass percentage of girls in arts this year was 81.50%, while 77.91% boys have cleared the examination, Singh said.
A total of 1,05,998 girl students wrote the exams and 86,392 of them cleared it. Similarly, 78,386 boys appeared for the examination and 61,076 of them passed.
“Results have improved this year compared to last year. In 2018, the pass percentage was 72.62%,” Singh said, adding, more improvement would be seen next year, as we are going to take several measures in this regard this year.
“We will provide model question papers for Class 10 and Class 12 students every month from July this year. The schools would be suggested to hold tests every month on basis of the model question papers. The test will help schools to identify weak students and teachers could work to improve their performance,” Singh said.
Among districts, Simdega was the best performer with 97.67 students passing the exam. Khunti came second with 96.17% students cleared the exam and Ramgarh stood third with 86.66% students passed it.
Chatra was the worst performer with merely 53.18% clearing the exam. Palamu second worst with 63.43 and Godda with 65.429% was third worst performer.
JAC had declared the results of Class 12 science and commerce streams on May 14 and 57% science students and 70.44% commerce candidates cleared the examinations. The Council announced the results of Class 10 on May 16 and 70.77% students passed the examination.
“We are able to declare the results in time only because of hard work of the officials and a well planned strategy,” Singh said.
