ICSE ISC Class 10th 12th Result 2019: How to apply for compartmental exam

For the first time, the Council for the School Certificate Examination (CISCE) that conducts the ICSE and ISC exams has allowed the students to appear for a compartmental examination for one subject.

The decision came in order to allow the students failing in one subject to retake the exam the same year without having to repeat the entire academic year.

The registration process will be held from June 24 to 30. The exam will be held on July 15, 16 and 17. The result will be declared on August 5.

“We wanted to give the students a chance to retake the exam and that is why we have allowed them to appear for compartmental examination from this year,” said Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary of the council.

For both, ICSE and ISC students, clearing English paper would be mandatory. “ The ICSE students will have to clear 3 more subjects in addition to English to appear for compartmental exam and the ISC students would have to clear 2 subjects. Only then can they appear for compartment,” said Arathoon.

The mark sheets would reflect ‘eligible for compartmental exam’ for students who can appear for it. The respective schools can then register the students online for the exam from June 24-30.

The exams will be conducted on 15,16 and 17 July and the final results will be declared on August 5.
