IBPS RRB Prelims 2017: Analysis of Officer Scale 1 exam held on Sept 9

IBPS conducted the preliminary examination for RRB officer scale I recruitment on Saturday. The exams took place in four shifts and will also be conducted on 10th, 16th, 17th, 23th and 24th September.

The exam overall was of an easy-moderate level. This was a major relief to all the aspirants, but this also means that the number of questions attempted will go up. There were no major changes in any of the shifts and the level and types of questions asked were similar in all four shifts.

There are two sections in IBPS RRB officer scale 1 prelims exam 2017 - Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude. Both the sections have 40 questions in each section. 45 minutes time limit was given for a total 80 questions.

Quantitative Aptitude (easy- moderate)

The level of this section was easy-moderate. Following were the types of data interpretation sets:

*Tabular (calculative)

*Pie Chart (easy-moderate)

*Line Graph (moderate)

Reasoning Ability (easy- moderate)

The level of reasoning was not difficult. Aspirants who have done proper practice and time management can score in reasoning easily. There were four seating arrangements and puzzles:

*Month related (2 variable)

*Linear (North-South) (1 variable)

*Circular based (1 variable)

*Box (1 variable)
