IBPS clerk prelims 2016 question paper analysis of exams held on Nov 26 and 27

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) clerk preliminary examination that was held on November 26 and November 27 was of an easy to moderate level this year.

There were 3 sections in the exam, which was held in four slots on both days, namely: English, reasoning ability and quantitative aptitude.

Here’s an analysis of these sections in all the four slots:

November 26

Slot 1

Quantitative aptitude (Easy-Moderate)

The level of quantitative aptitude section was easy to moderate. There were one DI.

The questions were:

English language (Easy-Moderate)

The level of English was easy to moderate. There was no fill in the blanks in this section. The reading comprehension (RC) topic was a forest story about tree and animal.

The questions were:

Reasoning ability

The level of reasoning was easy to moderate. No questions from coding-decoding were asked and there were no questions from syllogism too.

There was 1 circular sitting arrangement (8 people) and another was linear seating (8 friends sitting in a line facing north). And one parallel seating arrangement in which 4 people were facing north and 4 were facing south.

The questions were:

Slot 2

This slot was almost similar to the first one and the paper was of an easy level.
