HSLC AHM Result 2018: 56% students clear Assam 10thexam, Raktim Bhuyan is state topper
Assam HSLC result 2018: Raktim Bhuyan of Moonlit High School from Sonitpur became the state topper scoring 593 marks out of a total of 600.
The percentage of students who cleared the high school leaving certificate (HSLC) or Class 10 board examination witnessed a rise in comparison to last year, HSLC Result 2018 announced by Assam’s Board of Secondary Education on Friday showed.

A little more than 56% students were declared successful in comparison to 47.94% in 2017 - a jump of nearly 8%. There were 189,191 students out of the 337,570 candidates, who appeared for the exam, were able to pass.
Raktim Bhuyan of Moonlit High School from Sonitpur became the state topper scoring 593 marks out of a total of 600.
“I studied hard but didn’t expect to become the state topper. I want to become an engineer. Besides studies I love painting, taking part in quizzes and writing essays,” Raktim said while speaking to journalists soon after the results were announced.
“I would ask students who will be appearing for Class 10 boards next year to start their studies soon after their Class 9 exams are over. Instead of studying long hours close to the exams they should be regular in the studies throughout the year,” he added.
Results of Assam high madrassa exams were also announced on Friday as 4,604 or 50.62% students of the 9,095 who appeared for the exams managed to clear it.
