Haryana Board HBSE 12th result 2018 declared; results uploaded on website: Highlights

The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) declared the Class 12 board examinations results on Friday.

The Class 12 examinations were held from March 7 to April 2 this year.

Here are the live updates for Haryana Board Results 2018 for Class 12:

8.47pm: HBSE Class 12 exam results uploaded on website. Check it here

8.11pm: Board chairman Jagbir Singh says results will be available on website around 10 pm.

5.36pm: Board PRO Meenakshi Sharda says results being uploaded, taking a bit longer than usual and will be available shortly on website

5pm: 2,22,388 students appeared in the Class 12 exam, of which 1,41,973 passed while 49,163 faced compartments.

4.48: Girl students outsmart boys. The pass percentage of girl students was 72.38% while that of boys was 57.10%.

4.30pm: Students of rural schools performed better than their urban counterparts with a pass percentage of 64.75%, two points higher than 62.04% in urban schools.

4.20pm: The pass percentage of government schools and private schools was similar at 63.02% and 64.06% respectively.

* BSEH public relation officer (PRO) Meenakshi said there are 99% chances of the Class 12 results being declared on Friday.

* “Rechecking and verification are presently being done. So still there’s 1% chance that the result may not be announced on Friday. But we will try our best to stick to the announced date,” Meenakshi said on Thursday.

Earlier

*Education board registered 4,976 unfair means cases (UMC) during the Class 12 and Class 10 exams this year. The cases of cheating this year were slightly less than last year when the board caught 5,300 students cheating during the exams.

* Students adopted innovative ways of cheating. A Class 12 Sikh student was caught hiding a Bluetooth device in his turban and a Class 10 student sneaked a mobile phone inside his cardboard.

*The board relieved 108 supervisors of their duties this year over negligence in maintaining discipline at the exam centres.

*The board shifted 28 exam centres and reconducted exams at 25 centres due to rampant cheating by students and negligence by officials.

*BSEH received support from several panchayats in villages which prevented students from copying.

* In 2017, 64.5% students cleared the Class 12 exam, in which 250,000 - 119,626 boys and 92,655 girls appeared.
