A student of BR Gyan Deep School, Anya attributed her success to five-hour self-study schedule besides regular school. Anya said she would like to join the Indian Administrative Service in future “to empower women and work for the people of the country”.

“I want to repeat this performance in Class 12. I have chosen science stream because I love the subject,” the 15-year-old, who secured 98.8%, said. “I would like to work for the women of our country and make them informed citizens. For that, I will work hard to join the IAS.”
Speaking against the tuition culture, Anya said she asked for extra classes from school teachers to clear her doubts. “I never attended any tuition classes and would never want to in future.”
Anya’s school chairman Roop Ram said she has been topping in the school from Class 1. “Congratulations are pouring in for her from everywhere. Several ministers and the board secretary have called to wish her,” he said.
The Haryana government will award laptops to top 500 students in the Class-10 board exams who have secured more than 95%. Besides Anya, her school has 12 more students who have achieved that.
