Girls outshine boys in Gujarat board Class 10 results
The Gujarat secondary and higher secondary board on Tuesday declared results for Class 10 examination, announcing overall pass percentage of 67.6.
Girls fared better than boys in the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) Class 10 examination, the results of which were announced on Tuesday.

The pass percentage of girls was 72.11 while 63.62% of boys cleared the exams.
The overall pass percentage stood at 67.6% this year which is around 6% higher than last year. Of the total 7,91,672 regular students (excluding repeaters and external candidate), who appeared for the examination conducted in March, 7,85,987 cleared it.
Though the Gujarat government has stopped the practice of releasing state and district-wise toppers’ list, Karan Vadher from Alpha School in Vadal with 99.99 percentile is believed to be the topper this year.
Ashna Dabhi, who scored 99.58 percentile, said focus on multiple choice questions was key to her success. Joyal Amin who scored 99.72 percentile said relaxing for an hour or two in between studies by indulging in hobbies helps enhance one’s performance.
As many as 3,113 students secured A1 grade, which has marks more than 91. Maximum number of students secured C1 grade (1,75,115), followed by C2 (1,57,157), B2 (1,06,444), D (56,423), B1 (55,152) and A2 (23,749).
English medium recorded the highest pass percentage at 88.84 followed by Hindi medium at 68.01%. Gujarati medium recorded the lowest pass percentage at 52.54.
