TSPSC Group 1 Results 2025 Live: The minimum marks to qualify for selection through the Mains examination is 40 per cent in aggregate (all papers put together) for OC, EWS & Meritorious Sportsperson candidates, 35 per cent for BC and 30 per cent for SCs, STs and PH candidates.

“The Group-I selection process is being expedited and Commission aims at zero error result. Commission is contemplating to release paper-wise marks in candidate login and also to publish provisional marks list on Commission’s website very shortly,” TSPSC said in a recent web note.

If the total marks and local status of more than two candidates are equal, then date of birth of the candidates will be taken for ranking, meaning the elder candidate will get the higher rank.

If the total marks, local status and date of birth of two or more candidates are equal, then the ranks will be awarded based on the marks obtained by the candidates in paper 1. This means the one with higher marks in paper 1 will get priority. If the tie remains, higher marks in papers 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be given priority until the ties are resolved.

If the commission is unable to resolve ties even after this, it will consider the date of passing the required qualifying examination. This will be followed by the percentage of marks in the qualifying exam, the candidate with a higher qualification, the date of obtaining the higher qualification and the percentage of marks obtained in the higher qualification.

“Commission has taken a serious note of certain false/misleading news that is being spread/published in some social media platforms with regard to Group-I Services recruitment (Notification No: 02/2024). The information is totally false, misleading and unfounded. Commission has filed a police complaint against the social media platform and also decided to file a criminal defamation suit for spreading such misleading information and trying to tarnish the image of this Constitutional body and create unrest among the Group-I aspirants.”

“The Group-I aspirants are hereby advised not to believe such false propaganda as it is always the endeavour of the Commission to conduct the recruitments in a fair and transparent manner. The candidates can be rest assured that no injustice will done to any candidate and the results are being processed in a fair and transparent manner as per merit.”
