On July 23, the top court rejected pleas for re-test on grounds of paper leak and other malpractices, stating that there was no evidence to conclude that the entire result of NEET-UG, 2024 was vitiated and there was a "systemic breach" in the sanctity of the examination.

The PIB in a press note said, “The revised results for NEET UG (2024) have not been declared yet. Kindly wait for the official information.”

During the hearing on Wednesday, the Supreme Court had directed the NTA to follow the IIT Delhi’s recommendation on the controversial Physics question and re-tally the results.

The apex court said that there was only one correct answer to the question—option 4.

Once the NEET UG final, revised results are released, the the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state counselling bodies will begin the online counselling process for UG medical admissions.

Once released, the NEET UG revised final result will change the rank list of over 4 lakh candidates. This includes the 44 NEET UG 2024 toppers who were awarded grace marks for a controversial question.

As informed by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on July 23, the NEET UG final result is scheduled to be announced in the next two days. In other words, the NEET UG result is expected to be out today, July 25.

NEET UG Result 2024 Live: A link to download revised scorecards is available at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. However, it is not the download link for scorecards scheduled to be released today. The link available on the NTA website for revised scorecards is old, activated after the result of the re-test for 1563 candidates were announced, requiring all candidates to download their marks sheets again.

The final result of the test, after the top court's direction, is expected to be announced later today.

NEET UG Result 2024 Live: The NEET UG scorecard to be shared along with the final result will be the third one issued for this year's entrance test. The first one was issued on June 4 along with the result. After conducting the re-test for 1,563 candidates, the NTA had to revise the scorecards of all candidates. The final result cum scorecard will be the third one, indicating the all-India ranks and marks of the candidates.

NEET UG Result 2024 Live: MCC NEET UG counselling is for-

• 15 per cent all India quota seats in states and UTs
• 100 per cent seats of deemed universities, central universities (DU, AMU, BHU)
• ESIC, AFMC seats
• IP University seats
• AIIMS and JIPMER seats.

Apart from MBBS and BDS, MCC also conducts counselling for BSc Nursing courses offered by central institutions.

Last year, the MCC NEET counselling was held in three rounds, followed by a stray vacancy round.

NEET UG Result 2024 Live: The National Testing Agency (NTA) had previously informed that NEET UG counselling is likely to start on July 24.

However, the counselling can begin only after the announcement of the revised results, which is expected today, July 25. After the final result is announced, schedule and other details regarding the NEET UG counselling will be shared with candidates.

“Some unscrupulous elements are misusing the name of the NTA and its Officials through various websites. Some other persons are also masquerading as NTA Officials. Hence the public is informed to be aware of such impersonation or people using the names of NTA and its Officials for any issue related to the manipulation of OMRs in the case of NEET (UG)-2024 or any other examination of NTA,” the NTA said in a recent notification.

NEET UG Result 2024 Live: The revised result and scorecards of the NEET UG exam will be issued on the official website of the National Testing Agency, exams.nta.ac.in. The candidates can download it using application number and date of birth.

NEET UG Result 2024 Live: The revised NEET result will be prepared by considering the fourth option as the correct answer for the Physics question.

This will decrease the total score of those who marked option 2 as the correct answer and significantly change the rank list of around 4 lakh candidates.

The 44 NEET UG toppers who were awarded grace marks for choosing option 4 will see their scores get down to 715 from 720 (716 for 179 correct answers and minus one for 1 incorrect answer).

NTA considered both options 2 and 4 as correct answers but the top court, based on IIT Delhi's feedback, said that only the fourth option is the correct answer.

NEET UG Result 2024 Live: After the final results of NEET UG 2024 are announced, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and other state authorities will begin the online registration process for undergraduate medical counselling. For AIQ seats, candidates have to apply on mcc.nic.in.
