Candidates who want to apply for both primary and upper primary schools must take both exams. Both UPTET papers are conducted offline on the same day as pen-and-paper examinations.

After the new government was sworn in, Undersecretary Dharmendra Mishra sent the state government's authorization to the secretary, ERA, in a letter on April 6 to release the updated UPTET answer key on April 7 and the result on April 8.

The new answer key, which was issued on Thursday, April 7, decided to provide points to all candidates for five main and three higher primary level problems.

Of the 8,73,553 applicants that enrolled for the upper primary level TET, 7,65,921 took the exam. According to the secretary, 2,16,994 (28.33 percent) have been certified successful.

Out of the 12,91,628 applicants who enrolled for the primary level TET conducted on January 21, 11,47,090 took the exam. 4,43,598 (38.67% or 39%) have passed.

This year, a total of 21,65,179 people have registered to take the exam. There are 12,91,627 for primary school and 8,73,552 for upper primary school.

The much-awaited result of Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 will be declared on April 8. “The go ahead from the state government has been received. Now based on the report of subject experts, the revised answer key of UPTET-2021 will be declared on April 7 and the result based on it will be declared on April 8,” said secretary of ERA, UP Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi.

The result was to be announced on February 25, 2022. However, due to the UP assembly elections, the results could not be released.

UPBEB is expected to release the UPTET cut off marks shortly, along with the UP TET result 2022 or later. On April 7, the UPTET final answer key 2022 was released.

Around 18 lakh candidates are waiting for UPTET result

For the exam, 1,62,511 invigilators, 8530 observers, 1423 flying squads, besides 5,814 class-3 and 14,059 class-4 workers were pressed into service.

A total of 21,65,179 candidates, including 12,91,627 for the primary level and 8,73,552 for the upper primary level, were registered. A total of 10,73,302 candidates (83.09%) had appeared in the exam for the primary level in the state. Likewise, for the upper primary level, a total of 7,48,810 (85.72%) had appeared.

UPTET could not be held in 2020 due to the Corona pandemic, while UPTET-2021 was cancelled on November 28, 2021, due to a paper leak, causing the exam to be re-taken on January 23, 2021.

UPTET is held once a year and enables applicants to apply for primary (class 1-5) and upper primary (class 6-8) teaching jobs in the state's public schools.
