The application fees for NEET Exam 2022 registration is ₹1600/- for general category candidates, ₹1500 for General-EWS/ OBC-NCL candidates and ₹900 for SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender candidates. 

NEET UG 2022 exam date has been released. The examination will be conducted on July 17, 2022 at approximately 543 cities in India and 14 Cities Outside India.

NEET Exam will be conducted in 13 languages- English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The Entrance Test shall consist of 200 multiple choice questions (four options with a single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology). 50 questions in each subject will be divided into two Sections (A and B). The duration of the Examination will be 200 minutes (03 hours 20 minutes) from 02:00 PM to 05:20 PM. 

NEET UG 2022 registration have just begun. The last date to apply for the examination is till May 6, 2022. Candidates can apply online through the official site of NTA NEET on neet.nta.nic.in. 

“Candidates who have passed Class 12 from Open School or as private candidates shall not be eligible to appear for the ‘National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test’,” the NTA said. 

A candidate who has passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as main subjects can apply for NEET 2022. 

“A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 12 Standard in 2022, whose result is awaited, may apply and appear in the test but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to the Undergraduate Medical Courses if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage at the time of first round of counselling,” the NTA said. 

Candidates should be at least 17 years old (born on or before December 31, 2005 to appear for NEET 2022. There is no upper age limit. 

“As per Letter No. U-11022/2/2022-UGMEB, dated 09 March 2022 received from National Medical Commission (NMC), Under Graduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) regarding the upper age limit, that there should be no upper age limit as decided in the fourth NMC meeting held on 21 October 2021,” an official statement said. 

Candidates must choose the of medium of question paper while filling in the application form. The option once chosen cannot be changed.

Candidates can choose to write the NEET exam in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Odia, Tamil, Marathi, Bengali, Telegu, Gujarati, Urdu, Malayalam, Punjabi, and Kannada. 

NEET 2022 will be held offline as a pen and paper based test. Candidates will have to use ball point pens given at the exam centre to fill the OMR sheets. 

Correct Answer: +4

Incorrect Answer: -1

Unanswered/Marked for Review: 0 (No mark)

If more than one option is found to be correct then 4 marks will be awarded for both options. If all options are correct, 4 marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. If a question is found to be incorrect or the question is dropped then 4 marks will be given to all the candidates who have attempted the question.

Optional questions, introduced in NEET last year will continue this year as well. 

Candidates need to attempt any 10 Questions out of 15 Questions given in section B. 

If a candidate attempts more than 10 questions in section B, only the first 10 attempted questions will be considered for evaluation. There will also be negative marking for section B. 

There will be 200 multiple choice questions in NEET 2022 from the four subjects-- Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology).

50 questions in each subject will be divided into two Sections (A and B).

About photo uploading, the NTA said “the recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.”

NEET 2022 registration process has started on neet.nta.nic.in. 

NEET 2022 will be conducted on July 17, 2022 at exam centres across India. 

Last year, the NTA held NEET registration in two phases, with the first one taking place before the exam and the second one after the test but ahead of results. 

The NTA may continue with the process this year as well. More details are awaited.

Students who have passed Class 12 final or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English subjects can register for NEET. 

Students who are appearing for Class 12 final exams this year with the above mentioned subjects can also apply for NEET 2022.

Candidates are advised to keep the following documents ready for NEET 2022 registration: 

Post card size photo (4”X6”) in JPG format

Latest passport size photo in JPG format

Left-hand thumb impression in JPG format

Signature in JPG format

Class 10 pass certificate in PDF format

Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc) in PDF format

PwBD certificate in PDF format.
