CBSE Class 10 Compartment Exam 2018: Encrypted papers used to plug leaks
The board decided to conduct the Class 10 compartment exams by sending encrypted question papers that were printed by the exam centers as a pilot project.
The Central Board of Secondary Education on Monday conducted Class 10 compartment exams through encrypted mode and decentralised printing of question papers.

The move is an attempt by the board to conduct leak-proof exams after it was marred by controversy over alleged Class 10 Mathematics and Class 12 Economics paper leak over social media being reported from different parts of the country, including the national capital.
“The encrypted paper has a code which can be only opened at a specific time decided by the board official to ensure secrecy is maintained. After this, a printout is taken and photocopies are made to be distributed among students,” an official said.
