CBSE boards 2018: Here’s an analysis of Class 10 IT Foundation paper

Many students at a school in Uttar Pradesh’s Allahabad, who wrote the Class 12 Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE foundation of information technology paper on Thursday, said the questions were easy and they hope to score well.

“The question paper of IT was easy and according to the pattern on which the two previous board exams were held. I will score well in the same,” Divya, a Class 10 student of Gangagurukulam School, said.

“I attended all questions and completed my paper before time as it required less of descriptive and lengthy questions and more of short and multiple choice questions,” Kirti Kumar, a student of the same school, added.

Apart from the students at Gangagurukulam School, teachers also said that the paper was not long as it had multiple choice as well as short and descriptive questions in the right proportion.

Subhodeep Chatterjee, a computer teacher at the school, said the pattern of the paper was innovative.

“Students were spared from dealing with theory part to quite an extent and instead their knowledge was well checked through short and objective questions,” Chatterjee added.

According to Kirti Ghosh, another computer teacher, questions related to programming and coding were also asked to check the knowledge of students on the topic.

He added the scoring questions from topics such as the internet, HyperText Markup Language (HTML) and Extensible Markup Language (XML), etc were easy to answer.
