“My days revolve around geography and famous Hindi poet Gopal Das Neeraj. Geography helps me understand the physical form of our world and the poems of Neeraj tells me about it’s soul,’ said Aishwarya, Student of Kendriya Vidyalaya Raebareli, who bagged second rank in the CBSE Class 12th exams by scoring 498 marks out of 500.

The daughter of Sanjay Sinha, a local stationary shop owner and Rinku Sinha, a house wife, Aishwarya scored cent percent marks in geogarphy, economics and English and 99 each in Hindi and history.
“My parents have played the biggest part in my success, because they provided me with all resource material and helped me during all types of problems faced by me. They never pressurised me to study hard; rather they suggested me to take the exams lightly,” said Aishwarya.
The 17-year-old girl stayed away from social media. Nobody in her family even used whatsapp, not even his father. She trusted in regular studies over coaching classes. “I never opted for coaching and stuck to strict regimen of self study, focussed more on the understanding the basics rather than rote learning,” she said.
Though Aishwarya stayed away from social media, she made it a point to go through the news paper daily. To fight stress, she used to read the poems of Neeraj and sometimes even tried writing a few couplets. “I like reading poems and even try writing some in a diary that I maintain. Reading and writing poems act like stress busters for me,” Aishwarya said.
In the future, Aishwarya wants to pursue Geogarphy hons. from Miranada House of Delhi University. “After completing graduation, I will sit for the civil services examination to become and IAS officer,” she said.
