CBSE 12th results 2019: UP students again dominate merit list, CM Yogi congratulates toppers
Uttar Pradesh students again dominated the merit list of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE’s) Class 12 examination, results of which were declared on Thursday.
Uttar Pradesh students again dominated the merit list of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE’s) Class 12 examination, results of which were declared on Thursday. Out of 23 students who figured in the CBSE merit list, 13 are from Uttar Pradesh.

Hansika Shukla of DPS Meerut Road, Ghaziabad, and Karishma Arora of SD Public school Muzaffarnagar topped with 499 out of 500 marks. Aishwarya of KV Rae Bareli stood second with 498 marks.
Another nine students from the state shared third rank. They are Ayushi Upadhyay of Lucknow; Ananya Goel of KL International School, Meerut; Aishna Jain of SAJ School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad; Vanshika Bhagat of Meerut Public Girl School, Meerut; Arpit Maheshwari of DPS, Meerut; Divya Aggarwal of Meerut Public School, Meerut; Garima Sharma of Vishwa Bharti Public School, Noida; Ibadat Singh Bakshi of APJ School, Noida and Pragya Kharkwal of SAJ School, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad. They all scored 497 out of 500.
In 2018, there were nine students in the merit list out of which six were from UP. Noida student Meghna Srivastava topped the CBSE’s Class 12 board exams with 499 out of 500 marks. Srivastava, a student of Step by Step School, lost out on one point in her English paper.
Anoushka Chandra, who studies in Ghaziabad’s SAJ School, scored 498 marks to come second.
Four UP students shared the third spot, scoring 497 marks. They were: Supriya Kaushik Cambridge School, Noida GB Nagar; Nakul Gupta of Delhi Public School, Rajnagar, Ghaziabad; Kshitij Anand SAJ School, Vasundhra Ghaziabad, UP; Ananya Singh of Meerut Public Girls School, Shastri Nagar Meerut.
UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the successful students of CBSE class 12 examination on Thursday. He wished them luck for their future endeavour. UP CM extended his best wishes to Hansika Shukla of DPSm Ghaziabad and Karishma Arora SD Public school Muzaffarnagar who topped with 499 out of 500 marks.
CBSE’s Lucknow city coordinator Jawaid Alam Khan said that UP students have started catching up with their coutnerparts in rest of the country. “The schools have started providing better infrastructure and padgogy that really helped students of UP to come a long way,” he said.
