BSEH Haryana Class 12 Result 2018: 64% clear exam; pass percentage drops

Naveen and Heena, of Hisar district, from Science stream topped the board exam, securing 491 marks out of the maximum 500. In the Commerce stream, Monika of Kaithal district topped with 484 marks, while Gurmeet of Jind district topped the Arts stream with 489 marks.
Board officials said 2,22,388 students appeared in the Class 12 exam, of which 1,41,973 passed while 49,163 faced compartments.
As always in Haryana board exams, this time too girl students outshined boys. The pass percentage of girl students was 72.38% while that of boys was 57.10%.
Students of rural schools performed better than their urban counterparts with a pass percentage of 64.75%, two points higher than 62.04% in urban schools.
The pass percentage of government schools and private schools was similar at 63.02% and 64.06% respectively.
