This year the Class 12 examination results decreased by 5.38 percentage points compared to last year when exams were conducted in two parts in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In comparison to 2022, when the pass rate for the CBSE class 10 exam was 94.40%, this year's overall pass percentage is down 1.28% to 93.12%.

CBSE Class 12 result 2023:

Total students registered: 16,80,256

Pass percentage: 87.33%

In the supplemental test, Class 10 students will have a chance to improve their scores in two subjects, while Class 12 students will have the opportunity to improve their marks in just one subject.

In both Class 10 and Class 12, girls have performed better than boys. The overall pass percentage of girls is 94.25 percent and boys is 92.72 percent for Class 10. For Class 12, overall pass percentage of girl candidates is 90.68 per cent. which is higher than boys' 84.67 per cent.

Trivandrum is the best-performing region in CBSE Class 12 results with a pass percentage of 99.91% while Prayagraj is at the bottom of the list with 78.05 per cent.

CBSE has decided not to publish merit list of Class 10, Class 12 to prevent unhealthy competition among students. Further, CBSE did not award first, second or third divisions. The board said it will award merit certificates to the 0.1 per cent students who have scored highest marks in subjects.

As many as 44,297 students have got 95 per cent or above marks in CBSE Class 10 board exam 2023. 

A total of 1,95,799 students have secured 90 per cent or above marks in the CBSE Class 10 exam this year. 

JNVs: 99.14 per cent students pass

KVs: 98 per cent

Independent: 95.27 per cent

CTSA: 93.86 per cent

Govt aided: 81.57 per cent

Govt: 80.38 per cent

Pass percentage of girl students in CBSE Class 10 result 2023: 94.25 per cent

Pass percentage of boys: 92.27 per cent.

In the Trivandrum region, 99.91 per cent students have passed the CBSE Class 10 board exam while in Guwahati, 76.90 per cent have qualified. 

The overall pass percentage in Class 10 results this year is 93.12 per cent, which is 1.28 percentage point less than last year's 94.40 per cent.
