Priyal Arora, a Class 12 student from Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Ghaziabad, said, "I think the paper was lengthy and time-consuming. The difficultly level of the MCQs was high and one MCQ was from the deleted part. The section E questions were a bit more challenging than I had expected. The language of the questions was also tough to understand.
CBSE Class 12 Physics paper analysis live: Teacher says difficulty level high
Today’s physics exam paper presented a solid challenge, offering a well-rounded test of both theoretical knowledge and practical problem-solving skills. The overall difficulty level was high. It was a difficult paper for average students to understand. The Section E questions, which are normally easily attempted by students, were a bit confusing. The MCQs were of high difficulty level. A few questions from sections B and C were from deleted parts of the syllabus. The case study had a moderate to high level of difficulty. Overall, the paper was not easy to crack, and only the students who had prepared very well would be comfortable cracking it.

CBSE Class 12 Physics paper analysis live: Patten, format were as per sample paper, says teacher
The CBSE Class 12 Physics paper pattern and format were according to the latest Class 12 Physics Sample Paper 2024-25 (issued by CBSE). The paper had five sections: A, B, C, D, and E.
Section A contained 16 MCQs of 1 mark each; Section B contained 5 questions of 2 marks each; Section C contained 7 questions of three marks each; Section D contained 2 case study-based questions of 4 marks each; and Section E contained 3 long questions of five marks each.
There was no overall choice. However, internal choices were provided in some questions.
The CBSE Class 12 Physics Exam 2025 was moderate in difficulty, with a well-structured pattern ensuring conceptual clarity, problem-solving ability, and application-based learning.
Numericals were manageable, though some required extended calculations, making time management an essential factor.
Derivations and case-study questions were conceptual, rewarding students who had practised NCERT examples and previous year's questions.
The paper was well-balanced across all sets, maintaining fairness in question distribution.
SECTION WISE
Section A: A well-balanced section with a mix of conceptual and calculation-based questions, providing in-depth assessment through assertion-reasoning questions.
Section B: Application-based numericals required a thorough understanding of Ohm’s Law, Ampere’s Circuital Law, and Lenz’s Law.
Section C: This section proved to be the most time-consuming for students, as it included derivations, circuit-based questions, and conceptual reasoning. Topics such as Capacitors, Kirchhoff’s Laws, and Ray Optics featured detailed derivation-based questions.
Section D: Case-study questions focused on real-life applications of Capacitors and Semiconductor Electronics, requiring analytical and conceptual understanding.
Section E: This section contained direct questions from Current Electricity, Magnetism, and Optics, along with numerical problems that required a strong conceptual foundation. Some numerical problems involved lengthy calculations, making time management crucial for students.
Overall, the CBSE Class 12 Physics Exam 2025 was a standard paper with no unexpected surprises, ensuring a fair evaluation for students across different academic levels.
