Bihar board Inter toppers’ acid test begins
Two hours before their scheduled ‘reassessment’ at 3pm, a few toppers of various Bihar Board intermediate streams began converging at the office of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).
The ‘reassessment’ process of the toppers of Bihar Board intermediate streams began on Friday at around 3pm in Patna. Toppers are being taken in ones or twos to the examination hall, while the rest are sitting in the waiting area. This process is expected to go on till 6pm.

At around 1pm toppers started converging at the office of the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB).
A large number of media personnel were at the venue waiting eagerly to listen to what the toppers had to say.

While some of the toppers expressed confidence that they would excel because they were ‘genuine’, some decided to stay away from the media.
“I am not afraid to appear. I had worked hard and prepared well for the examination. If I have to prove my worth again and show that I deserve the top spots, so be it,” said one of the toppers, without the slightest hesitation in her voice.

Some, however, decided it would be better to wait to speak their minds after they had given whatever the ‘retest’ was, an interview or a written examination. They brushed aside the media attention with a curt, ‘no comments.’

Meanwhile, some agitators congregated at the Intermediate council premises at Budh Marg in the morning to protest the alleged ‘discrepancies’ in the intermediate examination and its evaluation.
“Those who cleared JEE-Mains, the first leg of the engineering entrance examination, were given fail marks, while some who did not even know about their courses were made toppers. This is unacceptable. We demand answers from the board and from chief minister Nitish Kumar,” said the protesters. They were soon chased away by policemen.
