“We are offering additional incentives such as funding support, opportunity to be a part of the live projects within Accenture and interact with enterprise-relevant technology innovators through our open innovation initiative,” says Sukhpreet Kalra, associate director – recruitment, Accenture.

Interested students can submit their ideas in two categories - ‘cognitive computing and internet of things’ and ‘digital application marketplace’. The entries will be shortlisted by a panel of judges from Accenture and Yahoo. “About seven to 10 entries will be shortlisted, depending on how many entries come in during the contest timeframe, who will be allowed to present their ideas to the grand jury in 10 minutes,” Kalra confirms.

The winner of the grand prize will win a trip to Accenture Technology Labs, San Francisco, Lenovo tablets and an Apple iPhone 6.

“Contestants should make their idea sound like a story. They should emphasise their unique selling point and be clear while presenting their customer acquisition strategies and revenue model,” say Ajay Kumar Saini, Shanu, Shubham Goel, Roshit Gopinath, students of Manav Rachna International University, the team who won last year’s contest.

Accenture is in the process of finalising jury members for this year’s contest. The finale will be organised in Bangalore on November 6, 2015. The last date to submit the entries is September 20, 2015. For more details, visit here
