'EVM Thrown Into Pond; Bombs Hurled Amid Clashes': Violence Claims In Bengal On Last LS Voting Day

The final phase of Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal was marred by several instances of violence. In Jadavpur, bombs were hurled during clashes between ISF and CPI(M) workers. An angry mob reportedly seized an EVM and threw it in a pond in South 24 Parganas’ Kultali area. Meanwhile, in North 24 Parganas, BJP’s Sandeshkhali face and party’s Basirhat candidate Rekha Patra clashed with cops and called them “slaves'' of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
