- Top virologist Dr. Gagandeep Kang spoke to Hindustan Times’ Aditi Prasad about the Delta Plus variant of the coronavirus. Dr. Kang explained what needs to be done in order to better assess the situation regarding the spread of the Delta plus variant in India. Dr. Kang said that India is under-utilizing the capacity of genome sequencing for Covid-19. Dr. Kang also explains the possible behavior of Delta Plus variant and how clinical information needs to be linked to sequence information in order to track a variant.
