As Omicron variant of coronavirus fuels third covid surge across the world, the cases also rose in India and continue to witness a spike everyday over the past few weeks. Experts believe the number of cases could be much higher than reported if the testing is increased. But why is India not testing enough? Is it medically advisable not to test every covid suspect or is it a political move to keep numbers down in a bid to convey that all is well and there is no crisis situation unlike the second wave of the covid?
