HSVP clears illegal food stalls and shops in anti-encroachment drive

Officials said that these stalls had been set up without permission on land meant for the HSVP district centre in Sector 44 and despite warnings, the owners had refused to vacate the area.

Utilities to houses violating norms in Gurugram DLF-4 to be cut

Details of 33 plots in the area, where illegal constructions have allegedly taken place, were submitted by the realtor on June 13.

Taking cognisance of a complaint regarding illegal constructions on smaller plots in DLF-4, the department of town and country planning (DTCP) on Wednesday said it will identify the plots and initiate action against the violators.

Illegal structures demolished in Rithauj village, Bhondsi areas in Gurugram

Officials said that 16 under-construction houses, 13 unoccupied structures, 45 boundary walls and 30 plinths were demolished by the DTCP team in Kaka Nagar colony, which is being developed illegally in Rithauj.

Keep illegal colonies in Gurugram in check by cutting power, Discom told

To prevent mushrooming of illegal colonies in the city, the enforcement wing of department of town and country planning (DTCP) is relying on a new strategy — they immediately share information about any illegal structure with the electricity department and stop issuance of a power connection.

As per the DTCP officials, it has been observed that wherever there has been a delay in issuance of power connections or where new power connections are not issued at all, there is a substantial decline in growth of unauthorised colonies.(Picture for representation)
