PWD minister Atishi reviews roads in west Delhi

Delhi's Public Works Department minister, Atishi, inspected the Janakpuri-Tilak Nagar route and flagged issues like damaged sidewalks, drainage systems, and central verge. She directed the PWD to formulate a road improvement plan in each division by next week. Atishi also accused the BJP of trying to hinder the work of the Delhi government. 25-year-old stabbed to death, friend injured while fighting robbers in Tilak Nagar

One of the victims, Ranjan Mishra,25, ran for nearly 100 metres on the road to save his life by hiding at a dark spot behind the park. Police suspect he bled to death, while his friend Dheeraj (identified only by his single name in police records) was rescued from the spot by three passersby, who admitted him to a hospital.

Covid-19 doubling rate in Mumbai rises to 10 days; mortality rate dips to 3.9%

The city’s Covid-19 fatality rate too has decreased to 3.9% on April 26 from the earlier 6.3% recorded on April 11. This means that there are now four deaths recorded for every 100 cases, as opposed to the earlier six deaths for the same number of cases.
