2,600 vehicle owners, drivers fined upon entering Delhi for RFID tag violations

From Friday midnight only those commercial vehicles which have RFID tags are allowed to enter Delhi.

RFID-enabled toll plazas will go cashless from Friday; double penalty for violation

The Supreme Court-appointed Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority [EPCA] mandated this during a meeting on Tuesday.

To end long snarls, 13 RFID-enabled toll plazas to go cashless

Till date, around 306,000 commercial vehicles got the RFID tags and documents for another 30,000 are being processed, only 429 transactions have been made suing online facilities.

EPCA extends RFID tag deadline for commercial vehicles to Aug 23

The decision to extend the deadline was taken after several transporters’ unions wrote to the Supreme Court-appointed Environment Pollution Control Authority (EPCA) and the south corporation seeking more time to buy the RFID tags.

On Friday, long queues of truckers were witnessed at the 13 toll points and six Points of Sale (PoS) of RFID tags in places like Sonepat and Manesar in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.

Tech to help save time in security checks at IGI airport

The system will allow the CISF to scan around double the passengers than it frisks at present, officials said.
