Woman cheated twice within 3 days of 15lakh in Delhi

A 55-year-old woman in Mayur Vihar lost ₹15 lakh to a scam after a grocery complaint led to her bank details being stolen. Police are investigating.

Cops crack down on illegal number plates, 16K booked

The officers said that motorists usually use illegal number plates in order to avoid traffic enforcement cameras, adding that their crackdown is part of a broader effort to enhance road safety and enforce compliance with traffic regulations

Angry lawyer opens fire as man parks car outside his house to play badminton match

The victim, Vedant Khodankar, also a Mayur Vihar resident, parked his vehicle in front of advocate Shyam Singh Chauhan’s house to play badminton in a park in the vicinity. When he returned, he found another car parked closely, blocking his exit, following which he approached its owner, Chauhan, to remove it. Chauhan allegedly refused and Khodankar lightly banged his car

Delhi Police arrest man in Rajasthan in robbery case

According to Alok Kumar, the deputy commissioner of police (special cell), the accused was identified as Mohammad Sahid of Umra village in Nooh district (Haryana)

4 held over murder of BJP worker in east Delhi

Police identified the accused as Ujjawal alias Gaurav (26), Raja (22), Bittu (29) and Saurabh Kataria (18) -- all residents of Mayur Vihar. Police said the four men shot Jitender Chaudhary on the night of April 20 because of “personal enmity and a long-standing rivalry”.

Soon, smoother ride to Mayur Vihar from Noida

The 800-metre-long flyover was opened for traffic in January 2019 but the loops — meant to provide seamless connectivity to Mayur Vihar -I and to Delhi — were under construction. The officials say that now the construction of loops is almost complete and it is likely to be opened early next month.
