Teen’s scooter robbed at gunpoint in Chandigarh

The victim, Lovekush, a resident of Maloya, Chandigarh, was targeted near the cremation ground around 9.15 pm while he was returning home from his hardware shop

According to Lovekush, two boys stopped him while he was riding his scooter in Maloya, Chandigarh. One of them asked for directions, and in the meantime, the other forcibly sat on the two-wheeler and brandished a pistol, threatening him. Man dies after being hit by bike in Maloya

A 22-year-old man was killed after being hit by a rashly driven bike in Maloya on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Jiten, a native of Bihar, who was residing with his wife and two children in a rented accommodation in Maloya and worked as a ragpicker.

Chandigarh admn proposes 500 rent hike for ground floors of flats under ARHC scheme

The committee held its meeting under the chairpersonship of Chandigarh advisor Dharampal, who said one of the allottees went to the Punjab and Haryana high court raising the issue of the rent of all three floors being the same. The court had directed the UT to look into the matter.
