Chandigarh: PU defers plan to allow ‘sticker-only’ entry to vehicles

PU vice-chancellor Renu Vig said that PU will be unable to implement this and get the stickers printed on time for the students. “We will deliberate on this system more and iron out any other issues. We plan to implement this at the start of the 2025-26 session.”

PU registrar YP Verma had issued a circular regarding this on April 4. And while he had sought details of all students who are day scholars and bring vehicles to the campus, these will be used later as per the authorities. (HT File)

Chandigarh: Brace for winds up to 70 kmph as IMD issues orange alert for thunderstorms

There is also a possibility of squalls, which are defined as strong winds rising suddenly and lasting for at least a minute; n May 30 2021, squally winds, with speeds reaching over 100km/h, were recorded in Chandigarh
