BJP seeks general amnesty for those accused of violating Bihar’s prohibition law

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar announced a financial assistance of ₹4 lakh each to the kin of the deceased on Monday. On Tuesday, the BJP sought assistance for those who have lost their eyesight due to toxic liquor and a general amnesty for people accused of violating the prohibition law

Deaths climb to 14 in Ujjain hooch tragedy; Shivraj Chouhan orders SIT probe

The deceased, most of whom were labourers and some beggars, were found in different localities of the city in the past 36 hours since Wednesday morning.

11 die in Jharkhand hooch tragedy, probe ordered

The police said that the victims, all men, had started falling sick after consuming liquor served at a shraddha bhoj (a funeral feast), which was attended by residents of both the villages.
