Asian Games 2018, Day 7 highlights: Tajinderpal Singh wins gold with games record, three bronze in squash
Tajinderpal Singh Toor lit up day 7 for India at the Asian Games 2018. The 23-year-old broke games record with a throw of 20.75 meters to win India’s only gold of the day. There was further good news as Rajiv Arokia and Muhammed Anas qualified for men’s 400m. In women’s division Hima Das and Nirmla made it to the finals. Although India managed to get three bronze in squash it was slightly disappointing that none of them could be converted into silver or even gold. India continued to blaze a trail in hockey and women beat Korea 4-1. India are also assured of at least two more medals in bridge in men’s team and mixed team.
