Delhi govt plans check dams on major drains to trap pollutants

While two such check dams have already been installed on a pilot basis, officials said the project will be expanded to the rest of the locations once its tested during the monsoon when water level in the drains rise.

Mogharpada land leased to us, will not allow Metro car shed, say farmers

The farmers claimed farming and fishing is their main occupation and if the MMRDA goes ahead with the car shed plan, they will attempt mass suicide in protest.
