Panchkula: Sharp turn by auto claims lives of infant, granddad

As the auto-rickshaw ascended an overbridge after crossing the Chandimandir toll plaza in Panchkula, the driver made a sudden turn, causing Shiv Ratan, who was holding the infant, to lose balance and fall onto the road

Chandigarh railway station revamp expected to be completed by May 2025

The minister visited the spots where the work is ongoing and asked the officials concerned to finish the work in a time bound manner; around 80% of the construction is complete, however, air concourse work is still under progress

Chandigarh Railway station’s platforms 5, 6 to remain closed till September 19

To construct the bridge towards Kalka and Ambala, trains originating from, culminating at or passing through Chandigarh railway station’s platforms 5 and 6 have been directed towards platforms 1, 2, 3, and 4

To construct the air concourse spanning across the railway tracks, several trains will need to be diverted or face short termination
