Bus operations at Delhi’s ISBTs to begin today

Interstate bus services are set to resume in Delhi from Tuesday as the three interstate bus terminals (ISBTs) in the national Capital will be thrown open to the public after being shut more than seven months because of Covid-19 restrictions.

The number of buses coming from different states, however, will be capped at 50% of pre-Covid times.(File photo for representation)

Delhi ISBTs to reopen before Diwali: Govt

The resumption of these services would mean that all three interstate bus terminals (ISBTs) in Delhi — in Anand Vihar, Kashmere Gate, and Sarai Kale Khan — will also reopen.

According to the police, they got a call around 9.30am, informing that a woman was critically injured after falling from a bus at the inter-state bus terminal (ISBT) in Anand Vihar.

UPSRTC to develop over 20 Alambagh-like bus stations

The UP State Road Transport Corporation is finally ready with the plan to develop more than 20 state-of-the-art bus terminals along with commercial facilities at different locations, including one in Gomtinagar on public-private partnership basis.

All these bus stations are proposed to be developed under the DBFOT (Design, Finance, Operate and Transfer) mode of investment. This model was applied to the construction of the swanky Alambagh bus terminal.
