IIT Roorkee researchers make key discovery in treating bacterial infections

According to the study, Thymol may help weaken bacteria, thereby offering a potential approach for tackling persistent infections.

The IIT Roorkee research team is led by Prof. Ranjana Pathania and includes Arsalan Hussain, Timsy Bhando, Ananth Casius, and Rinki Gupta. It found that thymol, a plant-based compound commonly found in thyme, may help weaken the persisters. (HT file)
