Centrum Park residents protest proposed burial ground near colony

Bulk waste generators must segregate on site in Gurugram

An MCG official present at all three meetings said that the tone of these meeting was urgent as the National Green Tribunal (NGT) had, last Tuesday, come down heavily on district authorities for unscientific management of waste at the Bandhwari landfill.

MCG officials revealed that 1,936 shopkeepers selling goods in polythene had been invoiced over the past year, raising just over Rs16 lakh in fines.(PTI)

Gurugram Civil Hospital revamp to start, depts will be moved to Sec 10

In a meeting with deputy commissioner Amit Khatri Thursday, health department officials finalised plans to temporarily shift the 70-bed gynaecology ward to the Civil Hospital in Sector 10.

To make way for renovation and expansion of the Civil Hospital in Civil Lines, several departments of the hospital will be moved to different locations starting Friday, district health department officials said. Gurugram Lok Sabha candidates to start filing nominations from Tuesday

According to an announcement by the district administration on Monday, candidates will no longer be able to enter Gurugram’s administrative hub in a cavalcade to file nominations. Only three vehicles and five people, including the candidate, will be allowed to enter the deputy commissioner’s court room.

Lok Sabha elections 2019: Polling booths to be increased to 1,194 in Gurgaon constituency

Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) are being used along with electronic voting machines (EVMs), which have provision for only 1,500 voting slips. Therefore, if the number of voters is more, then auxiliary stations are required to be set up along with the existing booths.
