Police said Singh has been to jail twice.
“He was arrested for stealing a Mahindra Scorpio on November 7. He came out on bail but was arrested again under the Gangster Act on June 5.,” said Abhishek Yadav, superintendent of police (rural), Gautam Budh Nagar.
The police said Singh said he faked his death to evade arrest in the two cases.
“He confessed that he wrote the suicide note as he wanted to escape the trial in the criminal cases. In the suicide note, he accused the former in charge of Knowledge Park police station of demanding money and implicating him in cases. All the allegations were baseless,” said Yadav.
