DMRC begins trials on Violet Line from Escorts Mujesar to Ballabhgarh
Ballabhgarh will become the fourth city in Haryana to get Metro connectivity after Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh.
After missing several deadlines, trial runs started on the 3.2 km-long Escorts Mujesar-Ballabhgarh section of Delhi Metro’s Violet Line on Friday, officials said. Once operational, the line will make Ballabhgarh the fourth city in Haryana to get Metro connectivity.

The line will be open for public in September-October subject to approvals, the officials said.
This extension of the 3.2km-long section of the Violet Line consists of two stations — NCB Colony and Ballabhgarh. Ballabhgarh will become the fourth city in Haryana to get Metro connectivity after Gurugram, Faridabad and Bahadurgarh.
“During the trial runs, the interaction of the Metro train with physical infringements (civil structure) will be checked to ensure that there is no physical blockage during the movement of the train on the track. The entire signalling system will also undergo rigorous testing,” an official said.
The response of the train at different speeds, braking of the train and the interconnection with the Operations Control Centre (OCC) will also be monitored during the trials. “The behaviour of the track system and the Over Head Electrification will be checked repeatedly,” DMRC spokesman said.
