DDA housing scheme 2017: Today is last day to apply, draw of lots before Diwali

Today is the last day to apply for a flat in Delhi Development Authority (DDA)’s latest housing scheme and the facility to submit applications will remain open during normal banking hours.

People can fill the application form online or offline. “This year, we have received 65% forms online. It will be better if people submit forms online,” said DDA housing commissioner JP Aggarwal.

He said the authority had received more than 30,000 applications till Monday afternoon, and the final figures would be out on Tuesday.
DDA is expected to draw lots for allotment of flats before Diwali, October 19.
To encourage home buyers, DDA has relaxed its forfeiture clause from 25% to nil if the flat allotted is surrendered within 15 days.

The scheme with 12,069 flats, of which 87 are high-income group (HIG) flats, and 404 are two-room middle income group (MIG) flats, was launched on June 30. There are 384 janta flats and rest are low-income group (LIG).
For the LIG category, the registration fee is Rs 1,00,000 while for the middle- and high-income group flats, Rs 2,00,000 will be charged.
