Karachi Kings vs Quetta Gladiators Commentary

6:52 PM IST We have already seen quite a few one-sided games in this season's PSL. Let's hope we get a thriller very soon and why not in the next game as Babar Azam's Peshawar Zalmi will take on Mohammad Rizwan's Multan Sultans. Do join us on the 19th of this month at 8.30 pm IST (3 pm GMT) and earlier for the build up. Cheers!
6:52 PM IST David Warner, the captain of Karachi Kings says he was happy with the score, credits Vince for the way he played. Reckons Mohammad Nabi bowled fantastically well. They spoke about taking wickets inside the Powerplay and they did it. Shares there was no dew, it was on the slower side and it helped the bowlers. Admits there wasn't much home advantage as they played three games on three different wickets.
6:48 PM IST James Vince wins the PLAYER OF THE MATCH AWARD. He says the pitch played how they expected it to. It was a good toss to win. Tells they need to get the momentum back after losing wickets in the middle phase.
6:46 PM IST Saud Shakeel, the skipper of Quetta Gladiators says the pitch was on the slower side, Karachi Kings used the conditions well and stuck to the plans. Tells it was just a day they need to forget about. Shares losing five wickets in the Powerplay didn't help them and they'll try to address that. Reckons they have a small break before the next game and need to work on a couple of things.
6:46 PM IST This is the kind of performance you think of after losing the previous match. Karachi Kings were looking to bounce back and played really well throughout the game. Earlier, David Warner played a quick 31 to set the tone but Karachi Kings lost a couple of wickets in the middle phase. James Vince though, who got out on a duck in the previous match, found his form back quickly as he notched a fiery 70 on a tricky wicket to get Karachi Kings to 175. Eventually, it turned out to be more than enough, credit to the King's bowler who made the most of the conditions.
6:45 PM IST A solid performance from Karachi Kings to get back to winning ways. It got a bit comfortable for them as Quetta Gladiators completely gave up in the chase. They lost five wickets inside the Powerplay and it became hard to recover afterwards. Saud Shakeel played the full quota but initially he kept on losing partners and later he found it hard to time the ball. Mohammad Amir did played a fine cameo right in the end but it only gave the fans some entertainment and not the management of Quetta Gladiators. On the other hand, Karachi Kings would be really happy. They stuck to their plan, executed close to perfection with a lot of slower balls and cutters on this slower pitch to get the better of Quetta Gladiators.
